Our 6-week Summer Camp is an amazing way to immerse your children (ages 18 months to 12 years old) in the Spanish language and culture. Our campers learn about and engage with the language through FUN lessons related to summertime music, movement lessons, cooking, science, social studies, visual arts, games and more. They also discover exciting facts about Latin American countries, use their imagination to make customs and art projects; and get captivated by the different flavors of food that they get to cook. Our experienced and dynamic teachers are NY certified and native-speakers.Ā
During our 6-week program, the following themes are covered: Summertime Fun, Let's Travel to Latin America and Kids in the Kitchen. Student to teacher ratio is 5:1 and classes are limited to 10 students per class. CAMP KIDVILLEā¢ is our beginner separation summer day Camp for 2 & 3 year olds. At CAMP KIDVILLEā¢ our very own play-based teaching artists transform the facility space and lead thematic & theatrical activities that spark curiosity and artistic exploration in little ones. A mix of child-led exploration and teacher-initiated group activities in Gym, Music, Art, and Science promote creative expression, fine & gross-motor skill development, hands-on investigation, socialization, and opportunities to make new friends. From sing-a-longs and instrument-making around the community ācampfireā to challenging adventure circuits that build balance, coordination, and resilience in the gym, the fun never stops! Whether planning around family vacations or spending the full summer with us, flexible scheduling options allow you to customize your childās experience. Camp runs July 9 - August 24. Designed by Cliff Skudin (Owner/Masters degree in physical education/Professional Watermen), our staff, professionals, surf program focuses on safety, skills, balance, education, recreation, etiquette and fun!Ā Learn about ocean safety, rip currents, surf safety, and surf etiquette. Students are placed into instruction groups based on their age and ability level and surfboards, lycra top rashguards, and all equipment will be provided during camp.Ā The camp day will be split between surfing and recreational activities. Time in and out of the water will always be evenly distributed. Kids will learn how to enter and exit the surf, and ride safely, with introduction to the etiquette of surfing to avoid accidents.Ā Beginner level campers will be on our included soft longboard surf boards. No kid will be alone in the ocean, surf instructors will be stationed with every camper. Depending on the conditions and ability of the camper will determine the level of instruction.Ā
